June 8 2009

Not a good day today. Dithered around for a long time not knowing what to paint. Slipped into the old thing of not being able to decide and almost did nothing as a result. Then I decided to just go for it. I'm not thrilled with the outcome but here it is. There is copper on the leaves at the side, the other design and the three dots on the left but it doesn't show up. I'm still one behind for the eighth day but I'll catch up on a day when I feel more inspired and higher energy.

  1. I think that while holding yourself to the 'challenge' will have you reach deeper within yourself and ultimately have a positive outcome - I can see it also turning your painting into a chore and a source of guilt (which, of course, we have ample sources of already!). If you can allow yourself the Grace to NOT paint if you truly aren't *feeling* it..I think you may be further ahead...

That said, for not having anything to paint...you've done a lovely piece, here....:)

  2. I envy you Leone - these are a wonderful start to 100 paintings. Work through all those feelings, trying differnet techniques - you will definitely grow!
I am not doing as well with the 100 challenge creatively but doing better on the self-care!
    Take care.

  3. Wow, you have done such great paintings. Been struggling myself with creating, but you have painted some beautiful work!
Never done pallete painting, love the texture though.
Wishing you happy painting days ahead :)

  4. Thanks for your insights Mel, I have given some thought and I don't feel guilt, I was just so happy for the fist six days and then I just kind of crashed. Have done nothing today. Just don't have it. Disappointed because I really, really want to do this. I haven't given up, I am just disappointed. You can't create to order unfortunately.
